The main city of Titan Garden is divided into a number of districts, labeled A through G. The largest and most densely-populated is the A-District, or the "all-purpose" sector, where residential clusters are stacked on top of street-level shops of every kind. The A-District is built to be highly walkable, there are vehicle streets that run in and around the area but a network of pedestrian roads crisscross the station- it's easy to get lost if you're not watching where you're going but if you walk long enough you're bound to pop out at a main road sooner than later. Metal grates can be found frequently on the floor, designed to collect water from the rain and snow that the artificial weather system produces, so be sure not to drop your keys or your credit chip, you most likely won't be getting them back. Savvy little guys know this and will find their way beneath the streets to collect these treasures, so if you see an open grate don't close it up behind someone! Be courteous, please.
Neon signs and colorful lights are the main theme of the A-District. The station's dull metal plating becomes a canvas, and every shop's signage is a brushstroke. Most of the A-District's businesses are small private shops rather than large corporate branches; you can find curios, knick-knacks, apparel, weapons and hardware from every world in the Sol system in Titan's A-District, and then catch a show at one of the area's little hole-in-the-wall venues. It's cramped but culturally rich, representing the best of what Titan Garden has to offer.
Stacked above the glowing pedestrian roads are housing units for locals who choose to live on the station full-time. Housing in the A-District is generally pretty cozy, with many units resembling a mid-sized starship's cabin quarters while larger flats are available for families. Many of the dockworkers have homes in the A-District, and the commute to work is generally a pleasant walk, as the district immediately neighbors the dockyard ring. A nice perk of that is the spectacular view- while an A-District apartment might be small, the elevated homes offer a clear look out the diamond-glass dome, providing a breathtaking glimpse of Saturn itself.
Given this close proximity, one of the most prominent features of the A-District is its pubs. One of the bigger venues is the Ox & Carriage, a popular spot for dockhands, service workers, roughnecks and hard-bitten starfarers to stop in after a hard day and unwind with a drink and a game. Rooms for rent are available for travelers stopping in Titan Garden for a night, or for patrons who for whatever reason aren't in any condition to make it home under their own power. Games of chance are usually run at the tables, there is a small stage for a live band to play and fights for sport or for spite are not uncommon sights at the Ox & Carriage.
One of the other important roles pubs like the Ox & Carriage serve is they are reliable places to find work. Not steady paycheck-type work, mind you, but odd jobs and adventurous little tasks are sought and offered all the time at an A-District pub. Salvage companies that they are, both Red Raven and Timberwolf are regulars at the Ox & Carriage and they're not above getting into a bit of trouble if it seems fun enough. Sometimes when salvaging hits a dry period a job from a pub-goer can help pay the bills, and other times a specific job requires a specialist's touch and the two companies will look to hire on a temp worker from the Ox & Carriage to lend their unique skills and help see a job through.
If you're on Titan for a day or you're in it for the long haul, the A-District is a key point of interest. There's a lot to do, a lot to see and a lot of people to meet. Whether or not you're looking for trouble, sooner or later trouble will find you so you may as well jump in feet-first and enjoy the ride.
