Okay, so here's Brem. Brem is a Europan regular at the Ox & Carriage, and Brem spends most of their time doing one of two things. Thing number one: Brem hunts deep space xenofauna. Essentially, how it works is not every lifeform in the Sol system lives on a moon or a planet, some of them swim freely in space feeding on ice and minerals from asteroids or other space debris. And also, not every lifeform in the Sol system is from the Sol system, a number of them migrate in from elsewhere in the galaxy, They swim in and, look, they're dumb animals, right? They don't know a comet from a comms satellite, so they swim up and they have themselves a nibble on the Outer Belt's relay network, and that's a big pain in everyone's behind, so Titan Garden contracts xenohunters to act like deep space whalers and go catch or kill these big space monsters. It's good pay, but it's good eating too, so Brem's basically a rocketship fisherman, right? That's thing number one about Brem. Thing number two is Brem loves to tell stories. You can catch them in the Ox & Carriage and they're always holding court, tellin' stories about harpooning a giant who-knows-what, and how it pulled their ship along on a ride, and how just its eye alone was THIS big, and they're always tellin' those stories just like this, just as you read them from this paragraph to your own eyes. That's Brem.

Brem is an excitable character, always very animated in whatever they're doing in that moment. They choose a fairly tall, broad-shouldered Europan evo suit to make it easier to step around the top deck of their fishing starship and get as much leverage as they can from the rigging. They'll tell you it's a dangerous life, it's hard to truly hunt xenofauna from inside the cabin of your ship, so their vessels employ heavy grav meshes on an exterior top deck so hooks can be fired, lines can be reeled and catches can be secured in the full range above and around the deck, unobstructed by things like ceilings or airlocks. There's a good reason Brem is always looking to hire on more crew for their voyages, it's just the nature of the hunt. Brem has modified their own evo suit with sharp spikes and jagged shards, in their own words, to make themself as unpleasant a meal for those sat-nibbling star monsters as possible. They've got a whole story about being inside the maw of one such creature, they'll tell you all about it.

Timberwolf ends up working with Brem fairly often. Being in the decommission and demolition business Timberwolf deals with a lot of very old space structures, and it's fairly uncommon but it's fully possible that a survey of the job site will reveal some manner of xenofauna nibbling on the structure. They generally all like mineral and ice so metal satellites are a prime snack for many species of xenofauna, and you don't want to just shoot at them with the ships cannons because that's wasteful and it makes an even bigger mess of things when you're being hired to clean up a region of space, so you hire someone like Brem to come in and catch it intact so you can do your job in peace. Bryce has tried simply scaring these sorts of creatures away from a job, but they're hungry and they come back in the middle of work and, wouldn't you know it, now they've taken a bite out of the Ermine! And now the Ermine is compromised so you need to radio Titan and call for a tow, and that means sending out you-know-who and Bryce hasn't lived down the first one of those stories, let alone the second, so hiring Brem works out to be a very good investment for Timberwolf.

In between their stories people at the Ox & Carriage often ask Brem, how do Europans drink when they got their evo suits on? That's a great question, Brem will say. They will then lift their drink, place a long straw in the glass, stick the other end of the straw in the vent of their suit's speakerbox and slurp up the bubbles of alcohol that blurble into the water in front of their face. It's very easy and it gets them very drunk because Brem is a lightweight and their stories get wilder the more blurbles they slurp. You don't think that really happened? Come on the next trip. Come on the next voyage. They'll pay you to go out and see it for yourself. If you're feeling brave you should take them up on this offer. Get a few credits on your stick, and if you're not so unfortunate you'll have your own story to tell at the Ox & Carriage.
