The glittering jewel of Saturn, the E-District- or "entertainment" district- is Titan Garden's premier travel destination, drawing people from all corners of the Sol system, from all orbital distances, into its dazzling embrace. A glowing monument to life's grandest pleasures, the E-District is home to live theaters, convention halls, fine restaurants, broadcast and recording studios as well as its famous Casino Alley, a strip of hotels and gambling halls designed in the tradition of old Terra. Often considered the B-Districts party-loving sister, if you've got credits to burn and you're looking for a memorable time, it's hard to beat a weekend in Titan's dazzling entertainment oasis!
Stepping off the train at the E-District station is like stepping into a dream. Buskers fill the air with music and colorful lights flood every walkable corner of space- where the A- and B-Districts are accented by neon signs and billboards, here in the E-District it's as if the buildings themselves are aglow with starlight. Taxis shuttle passengers up and down the strip, interrupted now and then by drag racers settling a bet along the colorful straigtaway, quick to cross their quarter-mile and dip before Titan Security rolls up. The architecture lends itself to an exciting background for fun of all types and the ornate building courtyards are a playground for Titan's skater community. While much of the E-District's buildings are ethereal in their beauty, two structures dominate the area: The Imperial Arena and The Mobius Hotel & Casino.
All roads in the E-District lead to the Imperial Arena, Titan Garden's largest event center. Designed in an old Neptunian style said to date back to their Plutonian roots, The Imperial Arena has the capacity to serve up to 21,000 guests and spectators for shows ranging from sporting events to athletic contests to musical concerts and more. SABLE- the Saturn All-Boxers League- is a boxing promotion popular among local residents and planet-hopping starfarers, and while a boxing event is broadcast on television waves throughout the Outer Belt over its relay satellites, the events themselves often take place at the Imperial Arena, and scoring front-row tickets is a dream for many a shiphand in the system.
Maybe you don't want to catch a show, maybe you want to be a part of the action! If you've got a hot wallet and a devil-may-care attitude then the Mobius Casino may be the spot for you. Suspended above a colorful hotel and its in-house bar, lounge and fine dining areas, the Mobius Casino is a one-of-a-kind feat of engineering unlike any to be found throughout the Sol system, and one of Scarlet Redraven's favorite places to be. Built as a literal mobius strip, guests at the Mobius enter the casino from an elevator connected to "the twist", a central location where credits and chips can be exchanged. From here a guest can choose to walk left or right, and whichever way they go they can walk the entirety of the Mobius casino floor and find themselves right back at the twist, ready to buy more chips and hit the floor again! While games of many types are available, the highest of the high-rollers can find special accommodations just beneath the twist itself, upside-down below the chip booth, the colorful streets looming above them.
This unique strip design is achieved through careful implementation of a series of gravmesh floor panels inside a gravity-controlled enclosure, visible from the outside as a big mobius strip set above the E-District skyline. The ceiling inside this enclosure provides lighting and atmosphere on top and along the sides of the strip itself, while the bottom section is built from thick Neptunian diamond glass, allowing a dizzying view of the Mobius plaza from many odd angles. One could jump from one section of the strip to another, but this is frowned upon and will earn a quick visit from security. It's not -that- big that you can't just walk to your game of choice, but it is bigger than it looks thanks to its one-sided two-side design. From amateur to professional, there's a seat waiting for you somewhere in the Mobius Casino.
Titan Garden is, among its many charms, home to a rich network of villains and thieves, and it's no secret among them that the Mobius Casino guarantees its house payouts with a vault of treasures collected by the building's enigmatic owner. Rumor is the vault is built into the floors of the building that the Mobius strip connects to, with no apparent door or entryway from the elevator shaft, from the floors above or from the floors below. Rumor is, the only way into the vault is behind a very specific painting hanging on the hotel wall in the high-rollers section, in the underside of the twist. The high-roller section is one of the most heavily-monitored sections of the casino, visible from the ground level through its diamond-glass paneling, from the building's security cameras as well as from about half of the rest of the casino floor itself. A few outfits have tried to rob the Mobius with no success, and while their failures have only helped the Mobius improve their security, they have been instructive to other thieving little flocks of birds who keep their heads down and their eyes open. The Red Raven Towing & Salvage crew have been quietly trying to plan a way to rob the Mobius Casino for years, and while they have the broad framework of a plan in their back pocket, in order for it to succeed they'd need to enlist the help of their salvage-hunting rivals, Timberwolf Reclamation & Demolition. The two crews have a range of skills across the lot of their members and extended networks of associates, and getting into- and out of- the Mobius vault undetected, while navigating what gravity-twisting geometry lies therein, will take all of their skill and professionalism. The risks would be great but the take would be huge and the job would be legendary, if only the two crews could work together as one. Until that day comes, the glittering jewel of Saturn sits, enchanting locals and visitors alike with its chromatic and inviting aura, its secrets tucked away like a knife in its sleeve.
Book a hotel room, catch a show at the Imperial Arena, try your luck at the Mobius Casino. Come to Titan Garden's E-District: your credits may be fleeting but the memories will last a lifetime.
